The HTC Thunderbolt has been one of the phones that many people have been looking forward to this year. The phone has had a huge price drop on Amazon recently, how there’s now a toggle app that allows you to turn 4G on and off easily and also a comparison of the sales between the Thunderbolt and the iPhone 4.
There are also a few problems with the Thunderbolt that have been reported including glitches whilst sending text messages and the big issue being the complete lack of battery life. With that in mind the guys over at Verizon have an update to release on the HTC Thunderbolt to fix a few things; unfortunately the battery life will still be a problem.
The Kevin Krause says in his report that the update will fix issues with text messages and also will enhance 3G connectivity. If it doesn’t automatically download for you this weekend then don’t worry as it has only just started showing on the Verizon page and it might take a few days to get it out there.
From the Verizon Support pages there are two PDF documents that you should have a read through, the first one is called the ‘Benefits of Software Update’ the other is ‘Software Update Instructions’. If you have an HTC Thunderbolt then don’t hesitate to read through the documentation and then give us some feedback about it.
