Have you ever happened to use an Apple Wireless Keyboard to write emails and notes on your iPad, and it run out of battery? Mobee just came up with an elegant solution for you, which called the Magic Bar.
The Magic Bar is an inductive charger that comes in two parts: a battery pack, meant to replace the pair of AA batteries in the keyboard, as well as a charging station.
Simply slide it on the charging station for a couple of hours and it will recharge your keyboard, and enable your keyboard for another 10 hours of use. Also you can still use the keyboard while charge it.
The Magic Bar is made out of aluminum just like the keyboard, make it look like an accessory designed by Jony Ive himself. The charging station can be plugged into a regular USB port, or can be charged via the same power adapter that comes with the iPad.
The set does not come cheap, as it will set you back $60. According to Mobee, “the Magic Bar is cost effective after one year of home usage and six months of office usage,” since you will not need batteries anymore. The Magic Bar is not available just yet, and should go on sale within the next couple of months. Note that you will be able to pre-order the device on Mobee’s website as early as May 15.
