from media report . google product manage Robin Zuger anonce . google will close google base who provide all kinds of live search . because the traffic not reach the expect .

google base service is for live search . just as comsumer products , estate information . in the beginning , some people expected that service to ebay , Craigslist pose a direct threat . but actually . the service is not reach the expect .

Robin Zuger say .the traffic of google base is so less . because of peopel search product information will choice froogle . search estate information will choice google map . he express close google base will not bring a big effect to the customer . the data of google base will transfer to other service .

And the new service Google Merchant Center will instead of google base
