Boot into recovery mode problems

Postby Leeds123 » Fri Jan 04, 2013 9:47 pm

Hello. I recently bought a 7 inch agptek tablet model number tp10a. I have come across a problem that occurs whenever I turn the tablet on. The tablet will boot up to the agptek logo page, but there is a bar that says Boot into recovery mode... The tablet is stuck like this. When I turn it off and back on again, it just goes to this screen. I tried to do a hard reset and system recovery. When I do so, it asks me to confirm the system recovery. I do so, but then it just says Boot into system recovery mode... And just stops. Am I supposed to press anything after this point? Please help me to fix my tablet as I would like to continue using it.

Did you try to press restore factory settings button again?
When you press the button, tabelt will automatic reboot.

If not work ,you can try to flashing firmware.
can you tell me your tablet model?
Setting-----about tablet
Tell me model information.
WM8850?Or not.

I think he gave you the model info as well as he knows it. If you look at the tablet and everything it appears like anything other than what he gave you is a bit of a secret.

The only time I see the WM???? is when I am downloading an app off Google Play.

As I said, I pressed the factory reset button, but it does not work, and the panel is still there.

I also can not access device settings as the tablet will not advance past the boot screen.

I too am sitting at the AGPteK home screen and in the upper left hand corner it says "Boot into recovery mode..."
Lower right corner says:
Android OS 4.0
Kernel 3.0.8
Build Number V1.5.0

Nothing I do will take it past this screen so the table is virtually unuseable. I have tried the factory reset several times, as well as the on/off & volume. It does not shut down until the batter dies.

How do I get back to using the tablet as normal?
