iOS 4.3 killing your iPhone's battery

It’s not yet been a week since iOS 4.3  was available to consumers. Since then complaints have been put forward that the update OS is dramatically reducing the battery life of the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th gen. There are four discussion threads currently live on the Apple forum dedicated to this issue (first, second, third and fourth links). With barely any use, many are stating that their batteries are draining completely in less than a day.

According to iLounge there is only one way to fix the issue, and that’s to restore your device, but without re-syncing from a backup. Instead you have to set your device up again as if it was brand new. This means re-selecting all your apps that you want transferred across, as well as photos, music and other media.
